Website: www.warwickshire.gov.uk/heritageeducation St John's Schoolroom is a reconstructed Victorian Schoolroom which forms one of the galleries in St.John's House Museum. The Museum houses part of the Warwickshire Museum's social history collection and includes a turn-of-the-century kitchen, a Discovery Room for the under 5's, a costume gallery and lively temporary exhibitions. The Museum of the Royal Regiment of Fusiliers (Royal Warwickshire Regiment) is upstairs. The schoolroom is used by visiting classes of Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2 children, often as part of a whole programme of Victorian activities. A "Victorian" teacher - one of Heritage Education's group leaders - takes children through the elements of a typical day in 1888 in a one or one-and-a quarter hour programmes which includes the 3R's, drill and an object lesson. Basic costumes, slates and readers are provided for each child, and costumes for adult "visitors". Opening Times: 10am-5pm Tuesday-Saturday and Bank Holidays 2.30pm-5pm Sundays, May to September
